This example shows a fully completed Circle Constitution Canvas for the Top Circle – the highest coordinating body in a self-managed organisation.
The Canvas sets out in detail the Top Circle’s mandate, its members, roles, decision-making principles and working processes. It specifies which organisation-wide tasks the circle undertakes, how leadership roles are filled, and the rules according to which strategic decisions are made.
At the same time, the Canvas makes the link to the constituent top circle and the delegation of responsibility transparent. This makes it clear to all members of the organisation how top-level leadership is organised and who bears which responsibilities.
The example illustrates how the general guidelines of the Circle Constitution Canvas are used to create a concrete and workable circle constitution.
